Warrenpoint is Northern Ireland’s second largest commercial port by volume, serving a hinterland which includes the southern part of Northern Ireland and the northern part of the Republic of Ireland.
In general cargo terms Warrenpoint is the fifth largest on the island of Ireland. It offers major infrastructure resilience outside of the two main economic centres on the island.
Warrenpoint’s geographic position constitutes a major strategic advantage, located half way between Belfast and Dublin on the north/south economic corridor.
The Port has seven operational berths capability of handling up to 7.5m before tidal influence. The Port’s Ro/Ro Ramp is 39m long, 27 metres wide with a design loading of 120 tonnes capable of accommodating vessels up to 25 metres beam.
