Covid 19 – Update

COVID-19 update

4th May 2020

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact locally and across the globe, the management and staff of Warrenpoint Port salute and pay respects to the exceptional efforts of the NHS, those in healthcare and social work, and everyone in our community as they pull together to provide essential services during this time.

For our part, as the second largest port in Northern Ireland and the fifth largest across the island, we are committed to doing our bit to ensure the local economy and food supply chains continue to move over the coming weeks and months.

A number of measures have been put in place at the harbour so that we can continue to operate as normal while also prioritising the health and safety of employees and other port users.

This is vital to ensure crucial distribution lines remain open and to enable the ongoing efficient transit of food and other essential goods and general cargo to destinations across Ireland.

We remain in constant contact with all the relevant authorities and are following all directives for ports and government guidance.
