Did you see our visitor yesterday?
Warrenpoint Port had a sailing training vessel berthed to shelter from the high winds. This impressive vessel the ‘Maybe’ launched in 1933, was designed for round the world cruising. After being hidden during World War Two and undergoing a complete refit, she took part in her first Tall Ships race in 1956. After a rich global sailing history in the following decades, the Maybe went under another full refit and returned to sailing in 2007. We were delighted to offer shelter to this impressive vessel and her crew. We wish them well for a safe, successful sailing future.
