Geraldine Donaghy lives and works in Newry, County Down. She was formerly Chief Executive of the Confederation of Community Groups, Newry & Mourne and has a long involvement with the community and voluntary sector in Northern Ireland.
She previously held public appointments on two government regulatory bodies, the Charities Commission N.I. (CCNI) and the Regulation Quality Improvement Authority for Health (RQIA)., a Non Executive Director of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust and she is also currently a lay member on the Complaints Committee of the Legal Services Regulatory Authority, (LSRA) ROI and a Board Member on Warrenpoint Harbour Authority.
