Sport – At the Heart of our Community

Sport in its many different formats is at the heart of our local community. It helps people to lead healthier, active lives and contributes to our social lives and friendship groups. We, at Warrenpoint Point are delighted to have been able to support many local clubs through our Community Club.
This year we have provided £750 each to @Warrenpoint Town Football Club to buy equipment for their youth teams; to @St Peter’s GAA to help fund their Gaelic for all programme; to @Newry Rugby Club to fund promotion of rugby in local schools; to @Newry Rowing Club to help fund youth activities and encourage membership; to @Clonduff Under 13 hurlers to sponsor their kit and to Warrenpoint Outdoor Bowling Club to support their Presidential Year celebrations. We also supported the wonderful local group- @The Hiking Hens to buy warm winter hats for all their members to wear while out hiking in the Mournes.
As we head into the weekend, we think this is a real celebration of sport in our local area.
